Last Updated: July 21, 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing and using Crash Course Driver Education Center LLC's ("CrashCourse WI," "we," "our," or "us") services and website (crashcoursewi.com), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you are enrolling a minor (under 18), you represent that you are the parent or legal guardian of that student and have the authority to accept these terms on their behalf.
2. Service Description
CrashCourse WI provides WisDOT-approved teen driver education services for students ages 15-17 in Southeastern Wisconsin. Our services include:
- 30-hour WisDOT-approved online classroom instruction
- 6 hours of behind-the-wheel (BTW) training with a certified driving instructor
- Observation hours as required by WisDOT
- Use of our dual-control, fully insured training vehicles ("The Yellow Fleet")
- Home pickup and drop-off for behind-the-wheel lessons
- RealTime Lesson Reports sent to parent/guardian after every driving lesson
- Completion certificate upon successful program completion
3. Eligibility & Enrollment
Student Eligibility: Students must be between 15 and 17 years of age and reside within our Wisconsin service area.
Parent/Guardian Requirement: All enrollments must be completed by a parent or legal guardian. By enrolling a student, the parent/guardian confirms they have legal authority to do so and consents to the student's participation in all program components.
Learner's Permit: Students may begin the 30-hour online classroom without a permit. However, a valid Wisconsin learner's permit is required before beginning behind-the-wheel training. It is the responsibility of the parent/guardian to ensure the student holds a valid permit prior to scheduling driving lessons.
Accurate Information: You agree to provide accurate, complete, and current information during enrollment. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access if information is found to be false or misleading.
4. 30-Hour Online Classroom
Access: Upon enrollment and payment (or financial aid approval), the student receives immediate access to the online classroom through their student dashboard.
WisDOT Pacing Requirements: Per WisDOT regulations, students may complete no more than one classroom lesson per calendar day. Each lesson unlocks at midnight Central Time the day after the previous lesson is completed.
Completion Requirements: Each lesson includes reading content, instructional videos, and a quiz. Students must achieve a passing score on each quiz to advance. All 15 lessons (totaling 30 hours of content) must be completed to satisfy the classroom requirement.
Academic Integrity: The enrolled student must personally complete all classroom work. Sharing login credentials or having another person complete coursework on the student's behalf is prohibited and may result in program termination without refund.
5. Behind-the-Wheel Training
Scheduling: Behind-the-wheel lessons are scheduled through the student dashboard. Parents/guardians and students are responsible for selecting available times and providing an accurate pickup address.
Valid Permit: The student must present their valid Wisconsin learner's permit at the start of every driving lesson. If the student cannot present a valid permit, the lesson will be canceled and cancellation fees may apply.
Instructor Authority: Our state-certified instructors have full authority over the vehicle and lesson. Students must follow all instructor directions. An instructor may end a lesson early if the student is uncooperative, appears impaired, or presents a safety concern.
Vehicle: All driving lessons are conducted in our dual-control, fully insured training vehicles. Students are not permitted to use personal vehicles for behind-the-wheel training.
Parent Reports: After each lesson, a RealTime Lesson Report is sent to the parent/guardian email on file detailing skills practiced, performance, and areas to work on.
6. Payment & Financial Aid
Payment: Payment is required at the time of enrollment unless the student is approved for financial assistance. We accept all major credit and debit cards processed securely through Stripe.
Payment Plans: We offer 0% interest payment plans with as little as $75 down. Payment plans are available to all families regardless of credit.
WisDOT Driver Education Grant: CrashCourse WI is a WisDOT-approved provider for the state-funded Wisconsin Driver Education Grant. This grant covers 100% of program costs for qualifying families. Eligibility is determined by WisDOT based on household income. CrashCourse WI does not fund or control the state grant—we facilitate the application on your behalf.
CrashCourse Cares™: CrashCourse Cares is our own internal financial aid program offering scholarships and tuition assistance to families who need help affording driver education. This is separate from and in addition to the WisDOT state grant. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis and awards are made at our discretion based on financial need and fund availability.
Pricing: Current program pricing is displayed during enrollment. Prices are subject to change with notice, but enrolled students are locked in at the price quoted at the time of enrollment.
7. Cancellation & Refund Policy
Behind-the-Wheel Lesson Cancellations: Cancellations or rescheduling must be made at least 24 hours before the scheduled lesson time. Late cancellations (less than 24 hours) may be subject to a fee. No-shows (failure to appear without notice) will forfeit the lesson.
Program Withdrawal: If you wish to withdraw from the program before completion, contact us to discuss your options. Refunds for partial program completion are issued on a pro-rata basis, less any non-refundable administrative fees, and subject to the amount of classroom content already accessed and driving lessons already completed.
Instructor Cancellations: If we cancel a lesson due to instructor unavailability or unsafe weather conditions, we will reschedule at no charge.
Grant-Funded Students: Refund terms for students enrolled through the WisDOT grant are subject to the state grant program's policies.

In cases of termination for cause, refunds are at our sole discretion.
