WisDOT typically runs multiple grant rounds per year, but the exact schedule depends on state funding and demand. Rounds can fill up quickly — seats are limited and awarded on a first-come, first-served basis.

Complete school pre-registration first for guidance; it is not paid enrollment or a grant application. Then submit a separate grant application through WisDOT during an open round. If approved, you'll receive confirmation by email and can enroll using your grant. Do not pay for or start driver's ed before receiving grant approval. Pre-registration does not reserve funding or guarantee approval.

Future rounds depend on WisDOT and available funding. School pre-registration can provide updates and guidance, subject to your communication preferences, but does not reserve funding or guarantee a future opening.
